Disability Rights Hawaii is a grassroots non-profit disability rights organization. It was organization in 1992, and in 1993 received its 501(c)3 status as a tax-exempt non-profit with the Internal Revenue Service.
This site is primarily for purposes of general information and contact information. The purpose of DRH, as stated in the Bylaws and the Articles of Incorporation is
to
educate the public to the legal rights and needs of persons with disabilities;
to advocate for the improvement of the quality of life of persons with
disabilities, and to work toward the implementation of
the
Bylaws state that the membership of DRH is constituted by its mailing list. Newsletters coincide with DRH’s bimonthly meetings. The meetings are usually scheduled for the last Tuesday of the month, in odd-numbered months.
